Abundance is often used to describe positive qualities, such as an abundance of love. Abundance is the opposite of scarcity. An abundance of wealth is a ton of cash. An abundance of friends sounds like a good thing, but it can get overwhelming when it comes to scheduling time to hang out or buying gifts. According to Derek O’Neill, “the essential meaning of abundance is that you are solidly happy with who you are and no external event or situation whether good or bad can add or subtract from that happiness”. The Master Keys describes abundance as a natural law of the Universe.
I guess the next question is, “How would you determine abundance in your life?” After reading the article that Nicolete Stenson wrote and listening to Pastor Marshall’s sermon on the topic of abundance I was able to glean ten distinguishing qualities, which gives us a good picture.
First, embrace your emotions as a healthy barometer letting you know when you aren’t aligned with abundance. So stop thinking thoughts that are negative or not productive, critical or full of jealousy, and other thoughts that brought you to this point. Accept yourself and everyone around you exactly as they are at this moment. Abundance is seeing the good in everyone, including yourself and letting kindness & love overflow on to others.
Second, abundance is not complaining, instead it tells another story of nice things-your successes, no matter how small. Praise is the vibration that manifests abundance.
Third, abundance takes baby steps; it takes small actions each day towards changing your energy, and changing your conditioning. If you are facing the right direction, you’ll get there.
Fourth, abundance focuses on the good things in life. For example, expressing gratitude for all the blessings in your life and seeing positive aspects in people, family, and friends.
Fifth, abundance is a life of fullness-to be content, to be satisfied. Abundance concentrates on growth and the love of learning along with resilience which is essential for great accomplishments.
Sixth, abundance is having control over what you say. It is realizing the effects of your words and how it shapes your reality and others. Abundance has the mental diet mastered.
Seventh, abundance is not a self-absorbed life. It is seeing the good in all. Having abundance gives you an understanding & creates confidence in the things the individual does well and helps others develop these skills too. Abundance provides value by serving others.
Eighth, abundance is recognizing the unlimited possibilities in life. By creating an expanded awareness, it fosters the abundance mentality. It is a life of purpose.
Ninth, abundance is creating memorable and meaningful life experiences.
Tenth, abundance is hope that cannot be taken away. Abundance is investing in heavenly things. Anthony Robbins stated in a quote, “When you are grateful, fear disappears, and abundance appears”. Dr. Wayne Dyer stated in a quote, “Abundance is not something we acquire, it is something we tune into”. Be open & ready to attract abundance into your life. Live a life of abundance, for it’s for everyone.
