It is the “truth” that makes men free, not only free from every lack and limitation, but free from sorrow, worry, and care. In this blog we are going to scrutinize truth in four categories: (1) what is truth, (2) what is truth concerning yourself, (3) how you convince yourself of the truth and (4) the benefits of truth.
“What is truth”, a common question asked. Truth is defined by the dictionary as, “that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality; a belief that is accepted.” In the Master Keys truth is not the result of logical training or of experimentation, or even of observation. It is the product of a developed consciousness. Truth is manifested in character and evident in the character of his possessions. Truth is the highest and most perfect thought which anyone can think. Truth is absolute, and we must find it in the world within, not from the world without. When you think about truth your intent is to create that which is true.
Second, what is truth concerning yourself? It is accepting various truths concerning yourself and the world in which you live. It is accepting people, situations, circumstances, and events as they are in this moment, not as you wish they were. It is taking responsibility, not blaming anyone or anything for your situation. It is recognizing that every problem is an opportunity in disguise. It is being able to possess harmony and exhibit it in your life. It is being able to think health and demonstrate it. It is being able to display abundance in everything you do and knowing that life, health, and abundance are Omnipresent, filling all space. Also, it is acknowledging that our future world is being determined by our present. If there is any injustice found in our present life we must look within for the cause which is responsible for our outward behavior. It is by discovering this truth which makes you free and it is the conscious knowledge of this truth which will enable you to overcome every difficulty.
Third, how can we convince our self of the truth? It is often very hard to reason out something and then expect yourself to believe you conclusion is the truth. Your belief is a combination of both logical reasoning and emotion. This forms the rationalization for our actions and our fundamental foundation for truth. Even if something seems logically true you still seem to have questions. Our heart has a tendency to disobey the head and denies the truth to avoid pain. The faster you face the truth, the sooner you can heal and give your mind the peace it seeks. Some methods you can use to enable you to realize the truth are forms of concentration, forms of mental imagery, and autosuggestions. To train the mind to see truth only is to express true conditions, and our ability to do this will be an indication we are on the right path in finding it. Your life, your actions, your influence in the world all depends upon the degree of truth; for truth can’t be manifested in creeds, but in conduct that demonstrates plausibility.
Lastly, what are the benefits of truth. The first benefit of truth is that truth is the highest rate of vibration known and consequently destroys every form of error in exactly the way that light destroys darkness. When the truth appears no form of error can exist. The second benefit of truth is that you don’t have to remember what you told what to whom. You won’t accidently contradict yourself. The third benefit of truth is that it helps to build a good reputation as an honest person. You can be trusted, and no one has to doubt your word. The fourth benefit of truth is that people will follow your example and be more loyal to you. The fifth benefit of truth is that your stress level will decrease. You will sleep, eat, and look better. The sixth benefit of truth is being able to look in the mirror without guilt. Lying causes self- criticism and depression. Honesty and experiencing truth develops self-confidence and pride. The seventh benefit of truth is being more believable. The last benefit of truth is being trustworthy. When people can trust you; you earn their support and help in meeting your goals.
Truth is the conscious knowledge which will enable you to overcome every difficulty and shall make you free. Rumi expressed his sentiments by this quote, “That which is false troubles the heart, but truth brings joyous tranquility.” Leo Tolstoy said it this way, “There is no greatness where there is no simplicity, goodness, and truth.” Truth is irrefutable and shall endure through the changes of your life. So grab this pearl of Truth, and cherish its significance.
