MKE Week 30 Your Journey to Success Begins With Dreams

As James Allen puts it so elegantly, “The dreamers are the saviors of the world.”  As you dream, so shall you become.  All achievements were at first, and for a time a dream.  In this blog we are going to contemplate what a dream involves, how do dreams come true, the importance of taking action, and finally living your dream.

In an article written by Keziah, we discover what a dream involves.  A dream should always be about you. It should never be about others.  You should not imagine others competing with you or allow yourself to compete with them.  The greatest competition lies within oneself.  Don’t design your journey on the success of others, the need to be like someone, the need to have what others have or the need to out do others. Dreams are the foundation of imagination and visualization.  It is being able to shoot at a target no one else sees & hit it or design a strategy to make it happen.

Now how do dreams come true?  First, believing that your dream can be accomplished when you clearly decide what it is that you are absolutely committed to achieve.  Next observe what is working or not, and finally continue to be open to changing your approach until you finally achieve your dream.

Every dream starts as  a thought or a mental image, as Remez Sasson brings out in his article.  If you just enjoy the dream but don’t act on it, it is like watching a beautiful & inspiring movie over and over again.  You are not going out to the real world to create & live what you have seen in the movie.  Are you waiting for the dream to change your life? By acting on the dream you know what you want, you’ve adopted a positive attitude and you’ve activated your goals to manifest it.   Help your dream become a reality by participating in the strategies & goals that are needed to create, organize, plan, and visualize what it would be like to have your dreams fulfilled, expecting it to happen by a given date, and then motivate yourself to get moving.  The cool thing is when you contribute in making things happen, they eventually happen, sometimes quite fast but other times gradually, over a period of time.  To achieve a dream your engine needs to be turned on and you need to map out the path you intend to go.  This often seems difficult because you don’t know where to start & what to do. It is here that most people get discouraged & don’t go further.  The people who have success on their journey and see their dreams accomplished are those who think, plan, read, observe their surroundings, see open doors, take risks, be persistent, believe that giving up is never an option and participates in a mastermind group. This group is a key to keep motivation going, it helps with being accountable and inspiring the needed desire.  You need to take action to open the door, the courage to pass through it, and execute the things to make the goals come true.

Finally living your dream means that the cloth blinding your eyes will be lifted. A completely new world will be open to your view.  You will notice in your conscious mind opportunities that have been in your reach all along. You simply didn’t pay heed. A fundamental change takes place in your self- identity. This is the point of no return.  Once this shift has happened your whole world changes. Nothing becomes impossible to you. Whatever you want, quickly becomes yours because you see what most people can’t.  You’ll have bundles of energy fueled by purpose. You no longer need to coax yourself into action.  You’ll realize all of your previous fears were unfounded, thus allowing you to face future fears. You’ll stop worrying about everyday occurrences and instead anticipate the future. All of your needs will be met. You’ll feel inclined to do things you never considered before.  You’ll progress quickly at anything. Nothing will seem impossible to undertake. You will live holistically and your goals will be manifested.   Living your dream means enjoying it and enjoying the journey too.  You need to give yourself some rewards along the way, including a huge reward when you’ve accomplished the dream.  Help others enjoy the dream. Be gracious & generous.  Use your dreams to better others.

Dreams are the key to your journey and the opening to new beginnings.  Colin Power stated it like this, “ A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.”   Another great quote is “The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.” So dream big and watch exciting things happen and new opportunities materialize.  Dreams are future acquisitions and a new genesis.
